//University of Cambridge selects AprilSix Proof to promote government-backed cyber competition

the missiontm Agency AprilSix Proof has won a competitive tender to provide communications support to the University of Cambridge for the government-backed Inter-ACE and C2C cyber security events.

The Inter-ACE is an annual cyber security competition, backed by the National Cyber Security Centre, Cabinet Office and industry partners. It brings together teams from the top universities that host Academic Centres of Excellence in Cyber Security Research from across the UK and aims to encourage the most promising talent to pursue cyber careers.

AprilSix Proof is working with the competition team at Cambridge to develop a communications programme focused on media relations, events support and social media support. The aim is to raise the profile of the 2017 competitions within the industry, government and the wider public with a view to securing more support for the competition and helping fuel its continued growth in years to come.

Michelle Houghton, Events Manager at University of Cambridge said, “The Inter-ACE and C2C competitions have become ever-more popular among the cyber security education community. As such, we were looking for a communications partner to elevate our brand and awareness further and to help engage strategic partners both now and for future competitions. AprilSix Proof has a proven track record in the field and we are looking forward to working with the team to deliver the best competitions yet.”

Jim Sutton, Managing Director at AprilSix Proof said, “It’s a privilege to be working with another iconic name such as the University of Cambridge.
