//Bray Leino launch Combogesic creative campaign

the missiontm Agency Bray Leino has launched its campaign for Combogesic, an adult oral analgesic that cleverly combines two well-known ingredients, paracetamol and ibuprofen in one convenient tablet.

Combogesic, a Thornton & Ross brand, delivers over 30% more pain relief than taking either paracetamol and ibuprofen on their own and it was this category-changing feature to the brand that inspired Bray Leino’s campaign idea.

Bray Leino worked with the portmanteau nature of the Combogesic name – a mixture of the words ‘combination’ and ‘analgesic’ – a cheeky, resurgent element in popular language.

Combined with simple, vivid animation and the unmistakable voice of actress and comedian Sally Phillips, Bray Leino used new and existing word mash-ups to create a pain relief ad with extraordinary stand-out.

Bray Leino CEO Kate Cox, says: “Consumers are so used to seeing painkiller ads about people doing something mundane and having a headache. The Combogesic ad offers something fun, charming and completely different.”

Bray Leino is part of The Mission Marketing Group plc (the missiontm), the marketing communications and advertising Group including April Six, AprilSix Proof, bigdog, Chapter, Mongoose, RJW, RLA, Robson Brown, Solaris, Speed, Splash, Story and ThinkBDW.
