//Mongoose at the ITU World Triathlon Series

Last summer, the missiontm Agency Mongoose hit Leeds, Hamburg and Stockholm with Columbia Threadneedle for the ITU World Triathlon Series as part of the sponsorship programme.

Taking place in Leeds for the first time, both amateur and elite athletes negotiated the tricky point to point course to finish in front of a packed Grandstand in the city centre.

This event saw in excess of 80,000 spectators turn out to cheer on the athletes and local favourites Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee made it a day to remember for the home crowd as they dominated the men’s elite race in Leeds to finish first and second respectively. 

The Mongoose team made their mark on the event by delivering a number of innovative platforms for both competitors and spectators to engage with. As a brief shower swept over the city centre, the branded ponchos proved to be a popular feature amongst the vocal home support as the Grandstand was transformed into a sea of cyan! 

The hospitality area in the heart of Millennium Square proved to be a hub over the course of the weekend as spectators were given the opportunity to pit their wits against Alistair Brownlee and Sir Chris Hoy in a competitive static bike challenge. 

Mongoose Sports & Entertainment also welcomed nearly 300 guests to Leeds, and 10:15am brought the commencement of the corporate wave, which saw in excess of 150 competitors put their months of training to the test. A huge congratulations from everyone at Team Mongoose to all those who participated in the events, seeing you cross the finish line was a highlight of the weekend for all those there to see it.
