Bray Leino get bulbous for Olbas
Bray Leino’s gloriously globular new spot, titled Inflatable House conveys the blocked, bunged-up feeling that comes with being congested.
Made in collaboration with director-animator Anthony Farquhar-Smith (of John Lewis’s Give a Little Love campaign), MISSION Agency Bray Leino’s latest spot was for Olbas. Starring the Olbas oil hero, Lauren, who we find sofa-bound with a bunged up nose.
Before long, Lauren’s living room is overwhelmed by expanding blobs – bursting from every corner, engulfing her. They squeeze ever closer until all she can see between the suffocating spheres is, thank heavens, a bottle of Olbas oil.
Farquhar-Smith’s expert blend of stop-motion animation mixed with live action beautifully realises Lauren’s distorted blob-infested dilemma, while capturing so viscerally the feeling of being congested*. And even more-so the euphoric relief of returning to normality. Brought about by none other than the true hero of the piece, Olbas.

*Lauren herself, in both congested and relieved form, is the design of illustrator Izzy Burton.
